American attacking midfielder Daniel Bulls has been contracted till the end of December by defending Digicel Pro League champions Bmobile Joe Public.
Head coach Derek King confirmed signing the 23 yearold former Real Maryland Monarchs midfielder/striker of the United Soccer Leagues (USL) Second Division.
“We are happy to have negotiated a deal with the player this season,” said King.
Bulls had a one-week trial at the Macoya based club at the beginning of March and impressed King and assistant coaches Dale Saunders and Rajesh Latchoo.
“Bulls would bring some quality in attack with all the football we have to play,” said King.
Bulls returned to Trinidad on Saturday and have picked up training this week as the club prepares for the start of the 2010 TT Pro League season and the second phase of the Caribbean Football Union Club Championship in April.
“He plays attacking football from the right of midfield and has a great amount of speed. He also has A League experience and that’s good for our team going forward,” added the Joe Public coach.
King was also delighted to announce that Japanese midfielder Yu Hoshide is back to full training after suffering a knee injury picked up during a practice match earlier this month against Caledonia AIA. Hoshide, one of the club’s most outstanding midfielders of last season missed the preliminary round of the CFU club Championship Group C in St. Vincent in which his side topped the group with maximum points.
